Chiropractic Treatments in Mendon

At Rochester Sports Chiropractic, we use a combination of chiropractic adjustments, muscle therapy, and corrective exercise to restore balance, mobility, and strength. Our goal is to help you feel better quickly — and stay better longer. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing everyday pain, or optimizing athletic performance, our treatments are customized for your body and your goals.

Our Approach

We take a results-driven, hands-on approach that focuses on identifying the root cause of pain — not just treating symptoms.
By blending manual therapy, movement correction, and patient education, we help you improve function, prevent recurrence, and move with confidence.

Our treatment plans are:

  • Personalized: every plan is based on your condition and lifestyle

  • Active: we combine in-office care with take-home strategies

  • Comprehensive: addressing joints, muscles, and movement patterns

How We Help

Chiropractic Adjustments
Gentle spinal and joint adjustments to restore alignment, relieve pressure, and improve overall movement.

Soft-Tissue Therapy
Targeted hands-on techniques to release muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation.

Myofascial Release
Precise treatment for fascia and connective tissue that reduces stiffness and improves mobility.

Corrective Exercise
Simple, effective stretches and strengthening routines tailored to your specific condition.

Cupping & Instrument-Assisted Therapy (when appropriate)
Modern soft-tissue tools that help break up scar tissue, promote blood flow, and accelerate recovery.

Postural & Movement Coaching
Ergonomic and movement advice that helps you move efficiently and stay pain-free between visits.

IFC (Interferential Current Therapy)
A gentle form of electrical stimulation that helps reduce pain, relax tight muscles, and promote natural healing.
IFC uses low-frequency electrical currents to target deep tissues and increase blood flow — ideal for conditions such as low back pain, sciatica, muscle spasms, and inflammation.
Treatments are comfortable, safe, and often combined with chiropractic care to enhance recovery.

Fascial Distortion Model (FDM)

Developed by Dr. Stephen Typaldos, DO. FDM contains a detailed physical assessment, which leads to a specific diagnosis, and provides objective outcomes. The patient’s verbal and physical descriptions, coupled with the mechanism of injury and relevant orthopedic tests, will lead the practitioner to the proper form of soft tissue treatment.

RockTape

Microscopically lifts the skin away from the muscle and fascia below to decompress the area, reducing swelling and inflammation, and aids in speeding recovery. RockTape stimulates the nerve endings and receptors in the skin to alter the signals of pain that are sent to the brain, to 'turn down the volume on pain' and delay fatigue. RockTape promotes body awareness to help correct posture and movement pattern dysfunction. It's ideal for "text neck" and other common posture issues.
